- How do I care for my leather products?

- Keep the leather out of direct sunlight.
- To make sure your desktop objects don’t lose their glossy patina, every couple of months apply a small amount of black shoe polish on the outside surface only, wiping carefully in circular motions using a soft, wool cloth. Turn the cloth over and gently polish off the wax until shiny.
- Always be sure to handle your leather artifact with care as the hide is delicate and sensitive to fingernails, pointed objects and rough surfaces.
- How do I care for my ceramic products?

- When washing your ceramics in the dishwasher: Select the delicate cycle, the maximum temperature should not exceed 100°F (40°C).
- For large objects: wash by hand with soap and water. Avoid using abrasive sponge.
- DO NOT place ceramics in the microwave or oven.
- How do I care for my mosaics? (Large cut stones)

- Do not expose to direct sunlight or heat sources. Exposure could cause the adhesives to melt
- Clean with a dry cloth ONLY. Do not use water or detergents. (no soaps, alcohol, etc.)
- Mosaics can be hung simply using a nail or the recommended wall anchor screw. Mosaics come with a picture hanger attached to the frame. Please note: a wall anchor screw is a more secure method of hanging your mosaic- be sure to select the appropriate wall anchor screw based on the mosaic’s weight
- How do I care for my micromosaics?

Clean with a dry cloth ONLY. Do not use water or detergents (no soaps, alcohol, etc.).
- How do I care for my etchings?

- Do not expose prints to direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
- Avoid displaying prints in humid environments.
- Avoid displaying prints in areas subject to extreme temperature changes (ex: near radiators, fireplaces, stoves, etc.).
- How do I care for my glass and crystal ware?

- DO NOT put glass and crystal ware in the dishwasher.
- Hand wash with warm water and mild soap.
- Dry with a soft cloth.
- When needed, dust with a soft cloth.
- How do I care for my potpourri?

- When not in use, please keep the lid of your potpourri tightly screwed to maintain freshness.
- Not for consumption. Keep out of the reach of children.
- Avoid contact with delicate, polished or painted surfaces
- Dispose of content and container to special waste collection point, according to your local regulation. Please do not dispose in the environment.
- How do I care for my bath salts?

- Keep bath salts in a dry, cool location away from direct sunlight.
- Keep lid tightly screwed when storing to prevent humidity affecting contents.
- Keep away from your eyes. Do not eat. For external use only.
- Keep away from children and pets.
- We love relaxing with bath salts and are certain you will, too! When used properly they are generally safe for most. However, please consider talking to your doctor before using them if you have certain medical conditions, such as heart disease or diabetes. We care about you!
- How do I care for my scented candle?

- Do not leave burning candles unattended.
- Keep away from inflammable materials.
- Keep away from children and pets.
- How do I care for my leather notebook?

- If desired, please apply NEUTRAL SHOE POLISH, but leather can improve its look when weathered and aged.
- How do I care for my paper notebook or photo album?

- No particular care instructions, just please don't get them wet!
- Are the products manufactured exclusively for The Sunny Artisan?

Every item is unique as it is handmade and some items and patterns are exclusively available from The Sunny Artisan.
- Are the artisans receiving full price for their work?

Our prices also reflect our decision to buy the products from the artisans at full price. This is because one of our key beliefs is to treat artisans fairly on pricing, rather than negotiating discounts that they can ill afford, particularly at this time when they are trying to recover from the losses accumulated during the pandemic lockdowns.
- Can I visit the artisans?

Absolutely yes! They would be thrilled to meet a Sunny Artisan enthusiast, someone who has purchased one of their pieces or simply appreciates their work.
- How can I further support the artisans?

Share their work with friends and family at home, follow the artisans on their social media channels, and don’t forget to stop and shop at their bottega next time you are in Italy.
- What happens if my purchased item is damaged or lost in transit?

In the case of damage or loss during shipping we will be able to replace, whenever possible, or offer a full refund.

Our pricing policy is a bit different than you may see at other businesses, but we have a reason for this! Our products are made by artisans who do not rely on assistants or outsourcing to increase volume. Most of the artisans we work with have little to no time to dedicate to maintaining a consistent presence online, which is why these products are so difficult to find and why we are so passionate to share them with the world.
Our pricing includes some of the behind the scenes work to collect, process all relevant customs and duties and get the product directly to you, with no additional clearance requirements. Once we have sourced the products and after receiving your order, they must be quality checked, and then moved to our logistics partner who takes great care to make sure the product arrives to you in peak condition, as quickly as possible, directly from overseas, fully-insured and with all relevant customs requirements already completed.
Our prices are all-in, meaning they include:
- Fast shipping (48-72 hours) straight from an artisan’s “bottega” (or our deposit in Italy), to ensure the product arrives as soon as it can.
- International customs and duties
- Taxes
- Insurance on shipping and product
- Packaging and handling costs
- Is my product eligible for return?

- The items must have been purchased in the last 30 days.
- The items must be in the original packaging.
- The items must have had a material defect upon delivery (i.e. a provable defect in craftsmanship, or the item was broken or damaged during shipping.)
- What items are not eligible for return or refund?

- Items that have no material defect or damage.
- Items made to your specifications, customized or clearly personalized.
- Items that are “part and parcel” of other items, that are by their nature, inseparably together.
- What if I need help with a return?

If the product you purchased is eligible for a return (see above in our Return Policy), to initiate your return please follow these steps:
- Reply to your order confirmation email to request which products you would like to return. Please include a telephone number to assist in this return.
- We will send you a Return Form we kindly ask you to fill out and return to us via Email.
- Print the return shipping label that you will receive by email.
- Send all items back to us (see address below) unused and complete with any tickets/labels and in their original packaging.

- Are there shipping fees if I return an order?

If confirmed eligible for a return, all shipping costs incurred in returning an item will be borne exclusively by The Sunny Artisan.

- How long does it take to receive a refund?

Please allow 14 days for us to process the refund and up to 5-1 business days to see your refund reflected on your account (policies vary by bank).
In case of a replacement, please allow 14 days for the item to be shipped.
- Where is my refund?

If you have returned your order by following the steps in our Return Policy, have a tracking confirmation and it has been delivered back to us and have received confirmation of your refund, this should be processed within 14 days.
Please keep in mind that it may take up to 5-10 business days for you to see your refund reflected on your account (policies vary by bank).
